By maintaining focus on this principle throughout the development process, the team at performa have built a powerful, flexible system that is logical, straightforward and intuitive to use. With these foundations in place, further expansion of PerformaGlobal functionality is less complicated - for example, changes to performance standards can be quickly and easily incorporated into the system rather than added as 'bolt-on' afterthoughts.

PerformaGlobal includes all the basic functionality of data maintenance with clean, uncomplicated screens but also contains the following added beneficial features:

business rule engine
Automatically defines composites and builds the classification structure.
flexible classification
Composites, portfolios, benchmarks and indices can be classified under multiple schemes for easy location.
client system customisation
Many areas throughout the system are customisable, so clients can easily add data to meet any esoteric data requirements.
data imports
Import functionality is provided to facilitate data loading into PerformaGlobal. Routines exist to import time-series data (such as portfolio returns), and files from standard providers (e.g. MSCI Index returns) as well as one-off routines to quickly get the system up and running.
benchmark construction
Builds complex benchmarks from basic index elements.
full audit trail
As required by GIPS, all changes to business data are recorded to ensure data integrity.
levels of security
Composites and portfolios can be assigned to categories, which in turn can be given levels of security so that selected business entities may be hidden from specified users, and other specified users given access at a read-only level.
fees
PerformaGlobal has been designed to accommodate all 'fee band' structured fee schedules. There is no limit to the number of fee schedules that the system can maintain. Both portfolios and composites can be assigned to a fee schedule for a specified time period - thus facilitating time dependent fee scales.
excel-based reports
Most performance teams are very familiar with Microsoft Excel. PerformaGlobal reports can also be saved, printed, emailed or exported to other formats (e.g. PDF, HTML and CSV).
multi-currency
Reports can be assigned a reporting currency so that data can be expressed in any chosen currency.
report packages
Several reports can be bundled into a package so that suites of regular or related reports can be produced simultaneously, or scheduled to run at a specified time as a complete print job.
multi-language report generator
Reports can be generated in a number of languages. These reports can also be designed to replicate your current reporting facilities.
report running
Reports or report packages can be set up to run at certain times with no manual intervention, for example weekly, at month end or simply "at a specified time on a specified day".
file imports
Inputting index returns or levels can be a tedious manual task but the PerformaGlobal File Imports suite can do all the work.
returns recalculations
The calculation of Composite and Benchmark Returns can be set up to run at a convenient time to ensure data is up to date when you need it.
technical environment
PerformaGlobal is a multi-user system, working across multiple sites, as required. It operates within a Microsoft Windows network environment, currently requiring a SQL Server relational database. Intranet modules work within both a Windows 2000 Server and a Windows 2003 Server enviroment, or upwards.
It is suitable for deployment using Citrix Metaframe.
