FOCUS - Autumn 2003

Technical Update

This section of the newsletter gives a brief insight into the most recent significant developments from the Performa technical team.

The main focus of the technical team has been on the development efforts involved in the upcoming PerformaGlobal® version R2.3.0 that will be released at the end of October 2003. As the development phase is drawing to a close, rigorous testing is currently in progress. The most prominent development in version R2.3.0 is undoubtedly the overhaul of the carve-out functionality. Version R2.3.0 allows significantly greater functionality for maintaining portfolios at sub asset class level, enhancing the management of subportfolios via the business rules engine as well as improving the reporting facilities. In general, version R2.3.0 will offer a more extensive suite of standard reports and, more notibly, increased flexibility within user defined reporting. The full release notes will be available at the time of release.

Another notable achievement has been the launch of the new Client Area as an additional enhancement to the PerformaGlobal website. This Client Area hosts new client-specific, password protected areas of the site that have been created to allow our clients greater access to the progressive development plan for performaglobal. The availability of Client Areas reinforces greater confidence that any issues raised by our clients are appropriately tracked and also ensures that the continuing development of PerformaGlobal progresses in the direction driven by client demand. This development has additionally resulted in a more efficient streamlining of Performa's internal approach to addressing client requests and issues.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that the new Intranet Reporting Module of PerformaGlobal, which is planned for release at the end of the year, is scheduled to enter final stage testing after the main release of version R2.3.0
